Following General Procedure B, 9-bromo-8-methoxythieno[2,3-c]quinolin-4(5H)-one (840 mg, 2.7 mmol) was reacted with tert-butyl 2-(4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)phenyl)butylcarbamate (1.5 g, 4.0 mmol) to afford the desired product (820 mg, 43%) as a light brown solid: ESI MS m/z 479 [C27H30N2O4S+H]+.
