Following General Procedure B, 9-bromo-8-methoxythieno[2,3-c]quinolin-4(5H)-one (2.6 g, 8.2 mmol) was reacted with (S)-tert-butyl methyl(2-(4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)phenyl)propyl)carbamate (4.6 g, 12 mmol) to afford the desired product (1.9 g, 50%) as a light brown solid: ESI MS m/z 479 [C27H30N2O4S+H]+.
