Following the procedure described for Example 647, tert-butyl 2-(2-fluoro-4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)phenyl)-3-methylbutylcarbamate (650 mg, 1.6 mmol) was reacted with methyl iodide (1M solution in toluene, 3.2 mL, 3.2 mmol) and NaHMDS (1 M solution, 4.8 mL, 4.8 mmol) to afford the desired product (650 mg, 94%) as viscous mass.
