Methyl 8-(1-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridin-4-yl)-1-cyclopropyl-9-methyl-4-oxo-4H-quinolizine-3-carboxylate was prepared according to General Procedure A using methyl 8-chloro-1-cyclopropyl-9-methyl-4-oxo-4H-quinolizine-3-carboxylate (500 mg, 1.71 mmol) and tert-butyl 4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)-5,6-dihydropyridine-1(2H)-carboxylate (467.0 mg, 1.51 mmol). Purification by flash silica column chromatography (CH2Cl2:MeOH) (1:0 to 9:1) afforded the title compound as a brown oil (830 mg, 100%). ESI-MS m/z: 461 (M+Na)+, 439 (M+H)+.
