Procedure
A mixture of 4-(4-fluorophenyl)cyclohexanone (7.8 mmole) and 1-(phenylmethyl)piperazine (7.8 mmole) were reacted as described in Example 8. The crude isomer mixture was purified as described in Example 62. Concentration of the fractions containing the more polar isomer gave the trans product (22%, mp: 106-106° C.). Calc'd for C23H29FN2 : C, 78.38%; H, 8.30%; N, 7.95%. Found: C, 78.02; H, 8.20%; N, 7.90%.
