From 0.45 mmol of 2′-aminomethylbiphenyl-2-carboxylic acid phenethylamide (precursor 5a) and neopentyl chloroformate, according to the general working procedure followed by extraction with EA and purification by flash chromatography 156 mg of 2′-(2,2-dimethylpropoxycarbonylaminomethyl)biphenyl-2-carboxylic acid phenethylamide were obtained.
