To 53 g of diethylene glycol (0.5 mole) was added 197 g (1.05 mole) of xylylene diisocyanate, and the mixture was reacted at 80° C. for 2 hours. Then 390 g (1.0 mole) of hydroxyethyl tetraphthalyl acrylate (OH value: 146; average molecular weight: 390) represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein n is the average degree of polymerization and was 1.4 and 0.30 g of 2,6-di-t-butyl cresol as a polymerization inhibitor were added. The resulting mixture was reacted at 80° C. while blowing air through the mixture for 8 hours, and thus a divinyl urethane compound with a remaining isocyanate value of 4.8 was obtained.
