(E)-tert-butyl 2-(2-hydroxy-1,1-dimethyl-4-oxo-7-styryl-1,4-dihydronaphthalene-3-carboxamido)acetate (120 mg, 268 μmol) was dissolved in TFA (2 mL) and stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes. The reaction mixture was concentrated, suspended in hexanes, filtered, washed with hexanes, and dried in a vacuum oven to give the title compound. MS (ESI) m/z: Calculated; 391.4: Observed; 392.0.
