To a solution of 4-[(4-{3-[N-benzyl-N-(2-carbamoylethyl)amino]propoxy}-2-methylphenyl)methyl]-5-isopropyl-3-(2,3,4,6-tetra-O-pivaloyl-β-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-1H-pyrazole (1.25 g) in methanol (13 mL) was added sodium methoxide (28% methanol solution, 0.25 mL), and the mixture was stirred at 50° C. for 6 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure, and the residue was purified by column chromatography on silica gel (eluent: dichloromethane/methanol=10/1-5/1) to give the title compound (0.5 g).
