Procedure

Following General Procedure D and using 3,5-diiodo-L-tyrosine methyl ester hydrochloride (Bachem) and N-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-D,L-alanine (from Example A above), the title compound was prepared as a mixture of stereoisomers about alanine. The reaction was monitored by tlc (Rf=0.29 in 10% MeOH/CH2Cl2) and purification was by flash chromatography (10% methanol/methylene chloride).
