Compound 35 (401 mg, 1.0 mmol) was treated with TFA (1.0 mL) and was stirred for 30 min at room temperature, evaporated to dryness and dried under reduced pressure for 2 h, triturated with anhydrous Et2O to give 400 mg of 13 as a solid. This crude product was carried on without further purification. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CD3OD): δ2.64 (3H, m); 5.21 (2H, m); 7.31 (5H, m) ppm. IR (NaCl, CH2Cl2): 3252, 2959, 1790, 1682, 1203, 1137, 1025, 778, 722 cm-1.
