Reaction Steps

To a solution of 1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]oct-4-yl(diphenyl)methanol (0.0775 g, 0.264 mmol) in CH3CN/DCM/MeOH (2 mL/2 mL/1 mL) was added (2-bromoethyl)benzene (0.38 mL, 2.78 mmol). The solution was allowed to stir at room temperature for 4 days and then concentrated under vacuum to give a white solid. This residue was dissolved in DMSO and purified by preparatory HPLC to give the title compound (0.0612 g, 48.6%). ELMS m/z 398 (M+) Rt (2.06 min).
