To a solution of 5-(4-chlorophenyl)-1-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-4-(methylthio)-N′-pivaloyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carbohydrazide (9) (80 mg, 0.156 mmol) and Burgess reagent (111 mg, 0.468 mmol) in THF (5 mL) was irradiated in a microwave reactor (Biotage Initiator™) for 50 minutes at 155° C. The organic extract was dried over anhydrous MgSO4, filtered, and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was subjected to flash column chromatography (Biotage SP1™) to obtain 38 mg (50%) of the title compound as a white solid.
