Reaction Steps
1-(4-(2-fluoropyridin-3-yl)-5,6-dihydropyridin-1(2H)-yl)ethanone (0.14 g, 0.65 mmol), palladium hydroxide, 20 wt % pd (dry basis) on carbon, wet, degussa type e101 new (91 mg, 0.13 mmol) and acetic acid, glacial (19 uL, 0.32 mmol) were suspended in THF (13 mL) in a pressure tube. The reaction mixture was hydrogenated at 50 psi for 5 h then filtered through a pad of celite and washed with THF. The filtrate was concentrated to give 1-(4-(2-fluoropyridin-3-yl)piperidin-1-yl)ethanone as clear oil.
