Reaction Steps
Using a similar procedure to that described in Example 47-A, 4-carboxy-N-(5-chloropyridin-2-yl)-2-[(1-Boc-piperidin-4-ylmethyl)amino]benzamide (2.0 g, 4.1 mmol), ethyl chloroformate (0.40 mL, 4.1 mmol), N-methylmorpholine (0.46 mL, 4.1 mmol), and sodium borohydride (466 mg, 12.3 mmol) afforded 1.45 g (75%) of the title compound, which was used without further purification.
