Procedure

To a refluxing solution of 220 mg (0.47 mmol) of the product of Example 19 in 5 mL of 1,4-dioxane was added 320 mg (1.41 mmol, 3.0 eq) of 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-quinone. The mixture was refluxed for 6 hours then cooled and concentrated in vacuo. The resultant oil was flash chromatographed with ethyl acetate to yield 50 mg (23%) of the titled compound as a white solid.
