Procedure
Following the procedure as described in Example 3, making variations only as required to use 5-(benzyloxy)isoquinolin-1(2H)-one in place of 4-aminopyridin-2(1H)-one to react with N-benzyl-2-bromo-4-methylthiazole-5-carboxamide, the title compound was obtained as a white solid in 2% yield: mp 225-226° C.; 1H NMR (300 MHz, CD3OD) δ 7.77 (d, J=6.0 Hz, 1H), 7.41-7.25 (m, 11H), 7.10-7.08 (m, 2H), 6.99 (d, J=9.0 Hz, 1H), 4.55 (s, 2H), 4.50 (s, 2H), 2.57 (s, 3H); 13C NMR (75 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 162.0, 159.6, 153.5, 151.3, 136.7, 135.0, 128.3, 127.2, 126.8, 126.7, 126.6, 126.4, 125.6, 125.4, 125.3, 125.2, 124.2, 115.5, 114.3, 99.9, 41.7, 31.1, 14.1; MS (ES+) m/z 482.3 (M+1).
