A mixture of 9-benzenesulfonyl-5-ethyl-9H-dipyrido[2,3-b;4′,3′-d]pyrrole-6-carbonitrile (60 mg, 0.16 mmol), DCM (3.0 mL) and 7N ammonia in methanol (3 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 5 days. The reaction mixture was then concentrated in vacuo and the resultant residue was triturated with methanol (2 mL) and dried in vacuo to give the title compound as an off-white solid (28 mg, 81%). LCMS (Method B): RT=2.81 min, M+H+=223.
