A mixture of N-(2-nitro-5-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)phenyl)benzamide and sodium hydrosulfite (9 mmol) (3 mmol) in ethanol (150 mL) was refluxed for 1 h. After cooled to room temperature, the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate (50 mL×3). The combined organics were washed with brine, dried over anhydrous MgSO4, and concentrated in vacuum to give crude N-(2-amino-5-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)phenyl)benzamide.
