Reaction Steps
To a solution of N-((4′-fluoro-5-(hydroxymethyl)biphenyl-3-yl)methyl)-N-(4-fluorobenzyl)-4-methylbenzenesulfonamide (100 mg, 0.203 mmol) and Et3N (0.15 mL) in EtOAc (5 mL) at −30° C. was added methanesulfonyl chloride (25 mg, 0.218 mmol) in EtOAc (10 mL) slowly with stirring. After 1 h, a small amount of 1N aq HCl and EtOAc were added to the reaction mixture. The EtOAc layer was separated, dried over MgSO4 and concentrated in vacuo to obtain the product as a viscous material. It was enough pure to use for next step without any further purification. MS (ESI): (M+H)+=572.18.
