Reaction Steps

To a solution of 6-(benzyloxy)-N-(2-chlorophenyl)-3-nitropyridin-2-amine (750 mg, 2.11 mmol) in MeOH (20 mL) was added Raney nickel (300 mg). The reaction mixture was stirred overnight under H2 (1 atm), filtered through Celite® and concentrated. The residue was dissolved in DCM (40 mL) and CDI (410 mg, 2.53 mmol) was added. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 4 h, washed with saturated NaHCO3 and water, dried over MgSO4 and concentrated to give the title compound (905 mg). LCMS m/z=352.3, [M+H]+.
