To a solution of N-(6-chloro-3-nitro-2-(quinolin-6-ylmethylamino)pyridin-4-yl)acetamide (220 mg, 0.593 mmol) in methanol (5 mL) and CH2Cl2 (5 mL) was added 10% catalytical amount Pd/C. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature under 1 atm of H2 for 1 h, then filtered. The filtrate was concentrated to afford the title compound, which was used for the next step without further purification. MS (m/z): 342 (M+1)+.
