2-(7-bromo-9,9-dimethylfluoren-2-yl)dibenzofuran was synthesized in the same manner as in the synthesis of 2-(4-bromophenyl)dibenzofuran except that 2-bromo-7-iodo-9,9-dimethylfluorene was used instead of 4-bromoiodobenzene.
