Procedure
According to Scheme 7, Step 5: To the reaction mixture of pyridin-2-ol (1.05 mmol, 100 mg) and 2-bromo-4-(1-(4-methoxybenzyl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)thiazole-5-carbonitrile (1.16 mmol, 434 mg) in dioxane (8 mL) was added Ag2O (3.16 mmol, 733 mg). The resulting mixture was stirred at reflux overnight. After cooling to room temperature, the mixture was filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by preparative TLC PE/EtOAc (1:1) to give 4-(1-(4-methoxybenzyl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-2-(pyridin-2-yloxy)thiazole-5-carbonitrile (0.26 mmol, 153 mg, 37%) as a white solid.
