2 g of 6-methylamino-2-bromopyridine (prepared according to the procedure of Example 11, step a) are mixed with 3.0 mL of heptyl isocyanate. The mixture is heated for 12 hours at 100° C. The residue is chromatographed on silica gel (9/1 heptane/ethyl acetate). 2.45 g of 1-(6-bromopyrid-2-yl)-1-methyl-3-heptylurea are obtained. Yield=71%.
