A solution of (S)-2-(1-(3-(trifluoromethyl)phenylsulfonyl)pyrrolidin-3-yloxy)isoindoline-1,3-dione (3.74 g, 8.40 mmol) and hydrazine solution (0.373 g, 9.3 mmol) in ethanol (16 ml) was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo, the resulting solid was filtered off and washed with diethyl ether (30 ml), and the filtrate was concentrated in vacuo to give (S)—O-(1-(3-(trifluoromethyl)phenylsulfonyl)pyrrolidin-3-yl)hydroxylamine (2.37 g, 90%) as greenish oil.
