N-(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl)-2-hydroxy-2-methyl-4-(2,4,5-trimethyl-3,6-dioxocyclohexa-1,4-dienyl)butanamide (25 mg) was dissolved into 1 mL CH2Cl2 and 5.2 μL neat methanesulfonic acid added to the stirred yellow solution. The solution was concentrated, dissolved into CH2Cl2 and triturated from Et2O giving 20 mg of N-(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl)-2-hydroxy-2-methyl-4-(2,4,5-trimethyl-3,6-dioxocyclohexa-1,4-dienyl)butanamide mesylate as a yellow hydroscopic solid.
