8-chlorodibenz[b,f][1,4]oxazepine-10(11H)-carboxylic acid, 2-[(2-thienylmethoxy)acetyl]hydrazide (21) was prepared in the manner described in Example 6 from 1 mmol of 2-(2-thienylmethoxy)acetic acid, hydrazide (20), prepared as described above in Example 20, and 1.0 mmol of 8-chlorodibenz[b,f][1,4]oxazepine-10(11H)-carbonyl chloride (2), prepared as described above in Example 2, to yield 0.28 g (64%) of product. Analysis calculated for C21H18N3O4SCl (M.W. 443.91): C, 56.82; H, 4.09; N, 9.47. Found: C, 56.55; H, 4.08; N, 9.28.
