In a similar manner to Example 3, t-butyl 3-(4-[3-(4-amidinobenzoyl)ureido]phenyl)-2-(2-ethoxyethyl)propionate, acetate salt (82 mg), and trifluoroacetic acid (5 ml) were reacted to give the title compound (64 mg) as an off-white solid: NMR Spectrum (DMSO-d6) 1.08 (3H, t), 1.70 (2H, m), 2.73 (3H, m), 3.35 (4H, m), 7.19 (2H, d), 7.48 (2H, d), 7.92 (2H, d), 8.18 (21H, d), 9.35 (4H, br s), 10.64 (1H, s), 11.25 (1H, br s), 12.05 (1H, br s); Mass Spectrum m/Z 427 (M+H)+ ; Elemental Analysis: calculated for C22H26N4O5. 1.4 CF3CO2H: C, 50.8%; H, 4.7%; N, 9.6%; found: C, 50.6%; H, 4.8%; N, 9.8%.
