4.5 g. Phenyl glycidyl ether and 12.0 g. 4-(4-aminobutylamino)-1,3,5-trimethylpyrimidine-2,6(1H,3H)-dione are mixed and left to stand for 48 hours at ambient temperature. The reaction mixture is then separated chromatographically and salt formation is carried out in the manner described in Example 29. There are obtained 2.6 g. (19% of theory) of the desired product in the form of colorless crystals; m.p. 148°-150° C., with bubble formation.
