45.4 Grams (0.1 mole) of BOC-Arg(NO2)-CHA was dissolved in 300 ml (0.6 mole) of 2N-HCl/AcOH with a small amount of MeOH, and the mixture was reacted at room temperature for 2 hours. After the reaction was completed, 300 ml of dried diethyl ether was added to the reaction mixture so as to precipitate the crystals. There was obtained 34.9 g (89.4%) of H-Arg(NO2)-CHA.HCl.
