Procedure
The reaction of 3-hydroxy-5-(3-thiocarbamoyl-2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)-2-propionylcyclohex-2-en-1-one with ethoxyamine hydrochloride was carried out following the same procedure as that described in Example 1 part (v) to give 2-[1-(ethoxyimino)propyl]-3-hydroxy-5-(3-thiocarbamoyl-2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)cyclohex-2-en-1-one (24) as a tan oil. The compound was characterized by its proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum and the data are recorded in Table 3, Example 11.
