Procedure

5,6-Methylenedioxy-2-oxindole-1-carboxamide was prepared by reaction of 5,6-methylenedioxy-2-oxindole with chlorosulfonyl isocyanate, followed by hydrolysis, using the procedure of Example 3. The product melted at 237°-238° C. (dec.) after recrystallization from acetic acid.
