Reaction Steps
To a solution of tert-butyl ester 39 (0.45 g, 1.3 mmol) in DCM (5 mL) was added neat trifluoroacetic acid (1.7 mL). The reaction was allowed to stir at room temperature for 18 h then concentrated; the residue was triturated with diethyl ether, to give title compound 40 (0.376 g, 92% yield).
