Procedure
A mixture of 1-(benzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)-N-(2-(4-cyano-2-methylbutan-2-yl)-1H-indol-5-yl)cyclopropanecarboxamide (0.060 g, 0.15 mmol) and KOH (0.081 g, 1.5 mmol) in 50% EtOH/water (2 mL) was heated in the microwave at 100° C. for 1 h. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The crude product was dissolved in DMSO (1 mL), filtered, and purified by reverse phase preparative HPLC to give 4-(5-(1-(benzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)cyclopropanecarboxamido)-1H-indol-2-yl)-4-methylpentanoic acid. 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 11.98 (s, 1H), 10.79 (s, 1H), 8.44 (s, 1H), 7.56 (s, 1H), 7.15 (d, J=8.6 Hz, 1H), 7.03-6.90 (m, 4H), 6.05 (s, 1H), 6.02 (s, 2H), 1.97-1.87 (m, 4H), 1.41-1.38 (m, 2H), 1.30 (s, 6H), 1.04-1.02 (m, 2H).
