500 mg of 4-{(S)-2-[4-(4-chloro-phenyoxy)-phenoxymethyl]-pyrrolidin-1-yl}-butyric acid was dissolved in ether (120 ml). To the solution was added dropwise the solution of benzensulfonic acid (240 mg, 1.2 eq.) in ether (4 ml). The mixture was stirred at rt for 2 h. Ether was removed to about 50 ml. The white solid was collected by filtration and washed with ether and dried on a vacuum line at 70° C. over weekend to provide the title product (595 mg, 63%); 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 1.80˜2.05 (m, 5H), 2.25 (m, 1H), 2.37 (t, J=7.2 Hz, 2H), 3.17 (m, 2H), 3.44 (m, 1H), 3.62 (m, 1H), 3.94 (m, 1H), 4.15 (t, J=8.4 HZ, 1H), 4.30 (dd, J=3.2, 10.8 Hz, 1H), 6.94 (d, J=9.2 Hz, 2H), 7.06 (s, 4H), 7.31 (m, 3H), 7.41 (d, J=9.2 Hz, 2H), 7.60 (m, 2H).
