Reaction Steps

250 mg of the product of step 1 and 10 ml POCl3 are heated to 100° C. for 1 h. The excess POCl3 is removed by distillation and the residue is treated with ice and diluted with dichloromethane. The phases are separated, the aqueous layer is extracted twice with dichloromethane, the combined organic layers are dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated to give the crude product.
