Procedure
Following the procedure for Example 503 starting with 5-chloro-1-ethyl-4-nitro-1H-pyrazole and 2,2,2-trifluoro-N-(hexahydro-1H-azepin-4-yl)-acetamide gave N-(1-(1-ethyl-4-nitro-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)azepan-4-yl)-2,2,2-trifluoroacetamide as a pale yellow gum (0.136 g, 55%). 1H-NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 8.07 (s, 1H), 6.39-6.37 (m, 1H), 4.22-4.19 (m, 1H), 4.12 (q, J=7 Hz, 2H), 3.42-3.35 (m, 1H), 3.27-3.18 (m, 3H), 2.25-2.05 (m, 2H), 2.00-1.75 (m, 4H), 1.47 (t, J=7 Hz, 3H).
