Reaction Steps
26.63 g (0.155 mol) of 4-bromoaniline are dissolved in 120 ml of pyridine and 23.14 g (0.172 mol) (E)-3-ethoxy-acrylic acid chloride are added dropwise at a temperature between 0° C. and 5° C. and the mixture is stirred for one hour at 0° C. Then the reaction mixture is allowed to warm up to RT and stirred for 14 h. The reaction mixture is combined with water, the precipitate formed is filtered off and washed with water. The solid is dried at 65° C. in the drying cupboard.
