170 mg of 4-Methyl-1-[4-(2-m-tolyl-ethoxy)-3-(2,2,2-trifluoro-1-hydroxy-ethyl)-benzoylamino]-cyclohexanecarboxylic acid methyl ester and 28 mg of lithium hydroxide were stirred in 50 ml of methanol and 1 ml of water for 5 h at 40° C. The reaction mixture was then diluted using 10 ml of water, the methanol evaporated and acidified to pH=2 using aqueous NaHSO4-solution. The mixture was then stirred for 30 minutes at room temperature, the product isolated by filtration and dried in vacuo to yield 138 mg of the title compound.
