A 250-mL single-neck round-bottomed flask equipped with a magnetic stirrer was charged with 336e (2.6 g, 10.2 mmol), methanol (50 mL), and Pd/C (10%) (260 mg). The reaction mixture was stirred under H2 for 15 h. After the reaction was finished, it was filtered and concentrated to afford 336f as a black oil, which was used in the next step without further purification. MS: [M+H]+ 225.
