Reaction Steps

N-(5-(4,6-dichloropyrimidin-2-yl)pyridine-2-yl)pivalamide (975 mg, 3.0 mmol), morpholine (0.262 mL, 3.0 mmol) and triethylamine (502 mL, 3.6 mmol) are stirred in NMP (10 mL) for 2 hours at 85° C. At this time the reaction mixture is partitioned between EtOAc (200 mL) and NaHCO3(sat.) (50 mL). The organic layer is separated, washed with water (30 mL), then brine (30 mL), dried over Na2SO4, filtered, concentrated, obtaining the desired product.
