5-(5-Ethyl-2-methyl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridin-3-yl)thiophene-2-sulfonyl chloride is reacted with furan-2-ylmethyl-methyl-amine as described in Step 5, Example 24 to give the title compound as a cream solid (78% yield). LC/MS: RT 3.03 min, n/e 393 (M+H); 1H NMR (δ, ppm): 11.85 (1H, s), 7.62 (2H, m), 7.35 (1H, s), 7.23 (1H, d), 6.40 (2H, dd), 4.27 (2H, s), 2.70 (3H, s), 2.41 (2H, q), 2.32 (3H, s), 1.10 (3H, t).
