To a solution of 4-[2-(2-ethylbenzoimidazol-1-yl)-9-methyl-6-morpholin-4-yl-9H-purine-8-carbonyl]piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (58 mg, 0.10 mmol) in DCM (1 mL) was added TFA (1 mL) and the resulting mixture stirred at r.t. for 1 h. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo and azeotroped with DCM affording [2-(2-Ethylbenzoimidazol-1-yl)-9-methyl-6-morpholin-4-yl-9H-purin-8-yl]piperidin-4-ylmethanone.
