Reaction Steps
To a chloroform solution of the product obtained in step B) are added 1.05 mol equivalents of isobutyryl chloride and 2.5 mol equivalents of pyridine at room temperature. The mixture is stirred for 1 hour, concentrated and then n-hexane is added. The solids are filtered off and the filtrate is concentrated. The remaining residue is purified by silica gel column chromatography to obtain the desired title compound.
