Reaction Steps
Palladium on carbon (200 mg) was added to a solution of N,N-dimethyl-5-nitropyridin-2-amine (1.29 g, 7.75 mmol) in EtOH (40 mL) and EtOAc (40 mL). The resulting mixture was stirred for 16 h under a H2 atmosphere, filtered and concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound.
