Procedure

To a solution of 3 (3.45 g, 8.2 mmol, 1.0 eq.),) and pyridine (0.66 ml, 0.82 mmol, 1.0 eq.),) in dichloromethane (40 ml) at 23° C. is added carbamoyl chloride 6 (3 g, 8.2 mmol, 1.0 eq.) drop wise over a period of 15 minutes. The reaction mixture is further stirred at room temperature for a period of 8 hours after which, it is partitioned between dichloromethane and water. The organic layer is separated and the aqueous layer is extracted with dichloromethane. The combined organic extracts are washed with water, dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated to provide crude product 7. The residue is purified using column chromatography with MeOH/CH2Cl2 (5:1) as eluent to afford the title product 7.
