3-[4-(2,2-Dimethylbutyl)-1H -imidazol-2-yl]propanethioamide (58 mg, 0.24 mmol) in ethanol (1 mL) was added to 2-bromo-1-(3,4-difluorophenyl)ethanone (56 mg, 0.24 mmol) in anhydrous 1,4-dioxane (4 mL). After stirring at rt overnight, the reaction mixture was concentrated to give a residue, which was purified by reverse phase HPLC (KR100-5C18 100×21.2 mm column; 10-100% MeCN/H2O over 12 min) to afford the title compound. LC-MS: m/e 376 (M+H).
