The title compound was prepared from 2-iodo-4-trifluoromethyl-6-(4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-pyrimidine (example A.4) (1.47 g, 3.52 mmol) and commercially available 2-chloro-4-iodo-pyridine [CAS No. 153034-86-7] (860 mg 3.6 mmol) according to the general procedure IVc protocol a. Obtained as a light yellow solid (0.70 g, 49%). MS (ISP) 404.1 [(M+H)+]; mp 144.5° C.
