Procedure

The title compound was prepared from 2-chloro-4-trifluoromethyl-6-(3-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-pyrimidine (example A.42) (0.65 g, 2.0 mmol) and commercially available 4-bromo-imidazole (0.44 g, 3.0 mmol) according to the general procedure IVa. Obtained as a light yellow solid (0.64 g, 73%). MS (ISP) 439.1 [(M+H)+]; mp 158.5° C.
